My personal and professional objective is to work in a creative, adrenaline-driven environment and to give a dynamic and contemporary
edge to any project in which I am involved.
My responsibilities also include managing activities on the digital platforms of TV Today Network (Aaj Tak Television and India Today TV) to
create a cohesive look and feel, and
maintaining a viable corporate identity for the India Today brand.
I am responsible for conceptualising the India Today Conclave across the country and play a pivotal role in the decision making every year.
HERE IS A BRIEF PROFILE OF SOME OF MY ASSIGNMENTS IN MY 18-YEAR CAREER:

I am at a leadership role, mentoring and training Creative Directors, Art Directors,
Designers, Illustrators and Graphic artists across the
group that includes Print, Digital and Television.

I was responsible for the magazine’s editorial art, design, photo and layout. Additionally, I was also responsible for overseeing photo and
production department that involved a lot of coordination.

In my short stint I had successfully redesigned Open Magazine, that helped in rising sales figures. |
Deputy Art Director, Time Magazine Asia and Europe (July 2006-March 2009) |
Here my main responsibility was macro and micro editorial design
management of the news magazine. It involved interpreting and analysing
stories and deciding on the visual aspects, accordingly.
Directing and assigning illustrators, photographers from all over the world.
Designing and planning covers and graphics for the Asia and Europe edition. |

My role at India Today was three–pronged—creative, editorial and
developing design elements, which involved conceptualising
pages from
the front cover to the back.
I was responsible for the look and feel of the entire magazine. This included deciding on
the appropriate visual according to the merit of
the story by using pictures, graphics
and illustrations. Directing the graphics team for information visuals, from simple
maps and charts to
complicated business and economic data.
I was in charge of the Graphics Department, created the first 3D information graphics (print) in India.
I functioned as an overall designer
and designed brand identity,
like Care Today, Bite, India Today anniversary logos and
designed all collaterals for the Group. |
